Registration for the First Time

Patient with a referral : 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  • Please note that registration for the following ten departments “ends at 11:00 a.m”: Plastic Surgery, Obstetrics-Gynecology, Neurology, Orthopedics,  Rehabilitation, Phychosomatic Medicine, Urology, Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, and Nephrology; and patients with Tuberculosis (including suspected patients)
  • Some departments do not provide consultation to patients without reservation on certain days.
  • Please acknowledge that patients without an appointment may have to wait longer than others, as many patients have made reservation prior to their visit including patients with follow-up consultations. Patients without a referral can receive a consultation; however, an additional fee of 8,000 yen (without tax) will be required in such cases. We recommend you to visit us with a referral from your family doctor or a local clinic.

Registration for a follow-up: Upon appointment

Patients must make an appointment for their next visit upon consultation. Upon arrival, please register using the automatic follow-up registration machine prior to your reservation time. Revisit patients without appointment can receive a consultation, but please note that they are expected to wait longer than the others as the patients with appointments have the priority to be seen first.  

Registration time for the patients without an appointment: 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Please acknowledge that an additional fee of 8,000 yen (without tax) is required if there is an intermission of more that 3 months from your previous consultation. For any questions, details and/or confirmation, please contact us at the following numbers.

To facilitate outpatient consultation we kindly ask for your cooperation in limiting your consultation to “two clinical departments per day”

Outpatient Non-Consultation Day

Non-consultation days are Saturday, Sunday, public holiday, and December 29 to January 3.

Critical Care

In addition to the outpatient care, we also accept patients who require emergency treatment and provide “critical care at night and on weekend”. If you desire such care, please be sure to always contact first and inform us of your situation before arriving at the hospital. Please note patients with higher severity are given priority over less severe patients, as we are assigned as an emergency medical center (that accepts critically ill patients).

Registration Procedure and Precautions

Please bring your Japanese health insurance card and any medical care certificate if you possess one. Please refer here for details.

Please also bring a referral (patient referral document) issued by your family doctor, as well as any X-ray data in CD and/or film. Click the following for more information.

Order of Consultation

Your consultation time is indicated on your reservation slip.

Reservation Slip for Consultation

A receipt is issued upon payment at the cashier after your consultation. Your reservation slip for your next consultation will be attached to this receipt. You can also go to the reservation issuance machine to print out your reservation slip.

You will find a digital board indicating today’s consultation number, consultation room, attending physician and consultation time. When the time indicated on the reservation slip is shown on the board, please wait somewhere close to the consultation room of the department you are going.

Order of Consultation for First Visit Patients

The order of consultation for first visit patients vary depending on severity and department but generally follows as below:
An attending physician will call you by your consultation number or by your name, and the consultations will take place in the following order.

  1. Consultations for the first visit patients and follow-up patients with appointments.
  2. First visit patients without appointments.

Appointment Change and Cancelation

Late arrival to appointment

You can still receive your consultation even if you arrive late. However, you are expected to wait as the patients who arrived on time will be given the priority to be seen first.

In case your condition of disease exacerbates please describe your condition to a nurse at the department desk and request an earlier consultion.

Change of Reservation Time

We accept changes of your reservation time and cancelation of consultation at our reservation center.
We also accept cancelation of examination by a phone call; however, changes in the examination date require discussion with your attending physician in person.

Advice on Medication

We will provide advice regarding your medication.
We can introduce you to a personal pharmacist (pharmacy).

Critical Care Department

NCGM is an emergency medical institution providing tertiary emergency services at night and on weekend/holiday.

Our critical care department is in charge of the admittance of patients at night and during the weekend/holiday.
(After hours in-hospital dispensing pharmacy is located on B1F of the main building)

Smoking Cessation Clinic

The NCGM provides anti-smoking education to those who require or desire smoking cessation. Please contact the reservation center for details.

Payment Methods

You can make payment at the automated payment machines across from the cashier's desk. We also accept payment at the cashier's desk.
You can pay in cash or by credit card. We take credit cards shown below.
In case you cannot make payment on the day you leave the hospital, you can also pay via bank transfer to our designated bank account.
*If you pay via bank transfer, your bank transfer slip will be your receipt.
